I'm sure there'll be some tonal adjustments on the show after the pie-let.
C'mon though! His shop is called The Pie Hole. Plus I love Ellen Greene, and Swoozie looks awesome with an eyepatch and Kristen looks cool being super tiny. (And I think her hair is bobbed after the first episode.)
I must be pretty tired (oh I know I am with the chronic insomnia) but I'm sitting here thinking, "
Pushing Daisies
is just like Magic Realism, but without any identifiable supernatural element..." and then remembered, oh yes: bringing things back from the dead. Yeah, I guess that qualifies.
She's so tiny compared to Lee Pace that my husband thought it was a special effect at first.
His shop is called The Pie Hole.
Man, my band had the idea to open a pie shop/performance space called the Pie Hole YEARS ago. We even wrote a song about it. Called Pie Hole. (Down at the Pie Hole, you can get yourself some pie)
Oh
show!
That's it. 15 minutes in and I'm hooked.
She hasn't even gotten to Swoozie Kurtz yet.
I think KC's entrance into his apt outdid the walk&talk with Allison Janney.
She hasn't even gotten to Swoozie Kurtz yet.
Yeah, the Aunts are the dottiest gothiest part.
I think the Aunts have the house I want.
Yeah, and there is an edge underneath the preciousness. Wizard of Oz with TEETH.
I see some small glimpses in the pilot, but the comic book shows the hidden fangs. I doubt the show will ever go quite that EC comics, but I can't believe after the on-line comic book that there won't be a horror element in the show. The promotion for next week hints pretty strongly at that too.
Umm -- that is general enough not be spoilery, I presume.
