When I was editing news releases, we used this program that would let you take a messy jumble with stupidified line breaks and "make paragraph". I miss that tool from that job ten years ago.

Don't feel too bad.

As long as my shiny new Cobra Starship CD makes it to me, I'm good with blaming it on a severe case of sleep deprivation.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

You can reveal codes in Word, I think. Is that to show formatting symbols?

If so, Tools/Options/View tab/Non-printing characters -- you can check all or check the ones you want to see. You can also do this by hitting the paragraph button on the standard toolbar.

What does "make it fit" do?

Eldest member of Hanson hospitalized with a pulmonary embolism.

I'm very startled to discover that the eldest member of Hanson is 26.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

It seems like at least ONE Hanson should be 30 by now.

Damn.

You can reveal codes in Word, I think. Is that to show formatting symbols?

Tools > Options > View.

For field codes, make sure the field codes box is checked.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

It still isn't as good as "reveal code" - that was one of the greatest things in word processing ever. Assuming you used it (considers some memories of dumb questions). It was a BIG help when I had to learn HTML, too.
