The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

As long as we can drink and watch things like Ocean's Eleven and the Bourne movies, I am so there.

You can do that at my house too, you know!

Librarian Warlord

So does anyone have any tricks for making dryer clothes smell nice and not poopy, is really what I'm asking?

Trader Joes sells bags of lavender for the dryer that can be reused that I like.

You probably don't have a Trader Joes where you are. I could send you some!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have three brands of black socks--Adidas ankle height and two variations of long black Nike socks which are easily distinguishable because one has embroidery at the toe and the other brand doesn't.

Well, those are real socks. Sorting trouser socks is an infernal task.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

You can do that at my house too, you know!

But the important question is, can I sort socks at your house?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I think there may be some trick with baking soda that might help, Jars, but I'm not sure how you would keep from having a fine coating of baking soda on all your clothes. Or Febreze, perhaps?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I keep all the trouser socks in a little bin, and pull out a likely-looking pair as needed. Mostly I wear them with boots, so no one sees them anyway, but I agree that the textures need to be pretty close or they make me nuts.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Jars, mix up some cheap vodka and a few drops of whatever essential oil you like the scent of, spray that mixture on a clean dry washcloth, and toss the washcloth into the dryer with the clothes.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

You can do that at my house too, you know!

I can put JZ's laundry away at your house? I didn't know you had a wormhole at your house!

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Putting folded things (if you fold your laundry) in with scented soaps helps, too.

This

and this

Jars, mix up some cheap vodka and a few drops of whatever essential oil you like the scent of, spray that mixture on a clean dry washcloth, and toss the washcloth into the dryer with the clothes.

are all very good ideas. Especially the vodka one, because booze is always the answer. Thanks guys!

And thank you Sparky for the offer, but I can probably make up my own lavender bag pretty easy (I live next to a big Farmer's/Organic market)
