I love putting laundry away. Except for socks. I hate having to match up socks and put them away. Especially since I have eleventy-billion different kinds of black socks.
I just really love having my apartment be neat and clean. It's so much more comfy that way. I'm less anal when I have more than 300 sq. ft. of space, though.

In my world, if two socks are the same colour, they're a pair.
And while we're on the topic of laundry - the place we've just moved into is right next to a brewery, which is fine, if a wee bit stinky every now and then. The problem is that when we dry our clothes in the dryer (which I hate to do anyway, but needs must), the air intake must come right from next to the brewery, because they all come out smelling that oatmealy brewing smell. So does anyone have any tricks for making dryer clothes smell nice and not poopy, is really what I'm asking?
I almost always pick my clothes out the night before since I like to spend as little time as possible getting ready in the morning (that is, after my 1/2 hour of eating breakfast with Jon Stewart).

Oh, yeah. I don't even match them up, I have a drawer JUST for black socks and I just throw them all in there.
I have a bunch of holiday socks that are the same shape/fit. I don't bother matching them. I just grab two and go.

No, no. I don't care if the colors match (except for work, mostly), but if the thickness or weave pattern or length or elasticity are different from one to the other, it's gonna bug me all day.
I so rarely wear socks these days that I barely still need a drawer.
I get all my black socks at Target, so there's some variation (they change the subtle pattern every once in a while I guess) but not enough that it would bug me. Therefore, not enough to sort and pair!
juliana, I will happily come over and sort your socks for you if you'll come over here and put away the rest of my laundry.

Annoying chore trading should really be a thing. I could, like, wash dishes for someone and they could put my comforter cover on (one of my least favorite chores).
