My turn to make dinner.
Steaks on the grill, green salad, steamed asparagus (with lemon on the side), sauteed portobello mushrooms with garlic and onion (in case anyone wants it on their steak, and baked apples for dessert.
Unsure how the apples will turn out, my oven is broken. So I cut them up, put them in tin foil packets with brown sugar, a squirt of lemon, a couple pats of butter, cinnamon, and a pinch of nutmeg. I have no idea if they'll cook through on the grill while we eat. But then they'll at least be sort of crunchy apples with sauce.

I had lamb chops and goat cheese pizza at the tapas bar. It was also host to a family straight out of Ozzie and Harriet,who had to pass through the dance club portion of the space past lots of gay men drinking and dancing to a trance beat on their way to the restaurant portion. I've never seen parents take their three school-age children out on the town for a night of clubbing before, but I guess it's sweet to see families having fun together.
