I have no idea why this is bothering me so much.
I think I'm the only neighbor who said I can't do this. No one is really making me feel like an asshole about it....
But i was kind of an asshole about it.

In fact, the Czechs agree-- that's why they named their new dance craze the Polka.
And we all know how dignified that turned out to be.
And we all know how dignified that turned out to be.
Case in point!
paperdol, you've already made a large commitment to the twins. You're not the mom of the world.
Being supportive is an important value, but you can't give more than you have. You can't take on responsibility for all the crazy, fucked up, needs-insurance people.
Hec,
Stop picking on my peeps!
I've apparently committed to purchasing food and cooking for twenty people all weekend, at my ski club.
If I've made lasagna the last two years I've done this, is it okay for me to do it again?

Yes, it's now tradition.
Stop picking on my peeps!
I love the Poles! They are an earthy people. They just don't have that paprika dignity of the Czechs.
bon, I've always meant to ask, but when you were there, did you have the really old czech history professor who taught in his office of old town square?
Probably not-- all my classes were in a building on Jungmannova, about midway between Vaclavske nam. and Tesco.

Polish Sausage vs. The Sausage of Prague.
This reminds me of listening to the radio this morning, and they were discussing the Cubs "magic number." Someone asked if the Brewers (in 2nd place) also have a magic number, and the traffic reported retorted, "2008. Or 1-800-SAUSAGE."
I am a fan of getting gorgeous picture frames as wedding gifts.
That's what I got my mom when she remarried a few years back. We stopped by a store filled with Lladros, Hummels, Wedgewood, and Waterford, and I found a really gorgeous Waterford picture frame on their clearance shelf, reduced from $120 to $75.
Yes, it's now tradition.
Indeed.
Seriously, paperdol, I'm sure you weren't an asshole about it. You only have so much time and energy. It's really important to know where you have to draw lines.
