It's slow as hell to do anything, you can't set a show to only record at a certain time (like, I want to tape one "How It's Made" a day, not four!), and it doesn't seem to have a good enough knowledge of what's new and what's a repeat. Stupid technology.
There is an option to have it only tape a specific channel at a specific time. I can't remember exactly how to get to it, but I think it's List--> the c button--> click on the show, and it gives you a bunch of options (you should be able to do a similar thing when you set it to tape from the Guide-- it should give you something where you can tape it whenever it comes on, or tape it only at that time). There is an additional option to only keep one episode at a time, or to only tape on one day of the week. The slowness might be it downloading data. It should not be that slow. I don't have that big a problem with repeats/new shows.
IT SMELLS LIKE DEAD POOPY THINGS DOWN HERE.
Woohoo, Theo!
Matilda is adorable.
Work is hectic, but when work is hectic here, the rest of the staff voluntarily ask if there's anything I can do and tell me I'm doing a wonderful job. It's such a strange thing.
YAY Theo!
Look! It's Morlock!shrift.
IT SMELLS LIKE DEAD POOPY THINGS DOWN HERE.
Is that better or worse than live poopy things?
Edit: Oh, and! When you're in the guide and hit A, it doesn't go to 100 -- it goes to some stupid menu. Which trick you taught me, I think.
So this is a different DVR? OK, never mind then. Because mine still jumps 100.
I taught Princess Tickybox to say "Munchkin of Darkness!" She said it to random strangers last night.
LOVE!
New pictures of Matilda, finally.
I forced my co-workers to look at my vacation pictures, and every one made Cute!Baby! noises at this picture of Matilda.
It just. It reeks. Ugh.
And it's open-plan. We've got our computers angled and all, but dinking around on the internet while at work is going to take a sharp nosedive.
And my diamond shoes gave me a blister!
Poor shrift. How long are they going to keep you locked up down there?
Go into whatever manual record function you have and set it to record a specific channel at a specific time of day, not tied to whatever the listings show.
Interesting -- maybe I'll try that.
So this is a different DVR?
Yeah, it's a completely new setup all the way around. New screens, new options, new remote, yadda yadda yadda. Hate! I'm sure I'll get used to it. Or maybe they'll fix the software or something. I've never had this new/repeat issue before, and shouldn't it all be Time Warner schedule info?
