"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I don't understand people who don't have to wear sunglasses (in bright sunshine).

lisah, you are truly my sistah in all things today.

Also, everyone should wear sunglasses. Best. Eyecream. Evah.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Yes. Signed, Fellow Pale-Eyed Whitey. But the things are seriously useful in preventing all sorts of eye nastiness as one ages.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Unless I'm driving towards the setting or rising sun, incipient headache is the only reason for me to feel an immediate need for sunnies. It's hard to remember to be proactive.

Is iris colour part of a protective mechanism, or just a side effect of other colourisation traits? My eyes are near black, which might correlate.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Bright sunlight has rarely bothered this pale whitey.

Sunglasses just make me sweat.

On the rare occasions I do wear them though I can do the $5 ones -- my contacts have UV protection.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I already wear glasses, and getting sunglasses to go over them is too much trouble and expense. I just squint.

This is what I was always told but it might be a myth. At any rate, I can't be out in bright sun without sunglasses and not get a headache.

I wear glasses and have prescription sunglasses.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

At any rate, I can't be out in bright sun without sunglasses and not get a headache.

This is me. I've been wearing glasses rather than contacts lately, and picked up some cheapo clip on shades with UV protection and (I think) polarization at the drug store that are super convenient.

hip deep in pie

I can't be out in bright sun without sunglasses and not get a headache.

This is me too. I am even squinty and cranky on bright cloudy days. Maybe I have a little vampire blood in me.
