This shit is so fucked up. I shouldn't have to be this grateful over something so terribly mundane.
That having been said? Not taking it one day at a time. One hour at a time, and this hour I like so far.
Thanks for all your support, guys. It really means a lot.
Hooray for good hour! May your day be filled with them.
Last night the cab driver comped my fare. And I hadn't even cried.
that is so sweet.

I really like hearing about times when people don't suck, ita, especially when they don't suck around you when you're in so much pain.
There wasn't any power this morning until 5 minutes before I left. I had to get dressed in the dark, so I'm wearing all black and neutral except for my new glasses. At some point I need to mosey over to Borders to see if they have book six of The Dresden Files since
Entertainment Weekly
isn't going to last through the commute home.
I need to call the cab company and tell them something...anything...pay in retrospect, tip...I don't know what.
I was so curt with the guy too. I don't want to tell a cab driver the details of something that I feel so stupidly about, especially during the migraine itself. But he leapt out of his seat, came around and opened the door while pointedly ignoring my attempts to pay.
Good guy. He just won his cab company continued business.
One of the drugs they gave me last night has anxiety hangover effects. I don't always get it (but they can get pretty bad). Posting my relief here (even though it feels like everything I say is about headaches--not least of all because almost everything I do is about headaches--the last two days I didn't have a solid hour without hangover-level pain) means I can come back and reread it just in case.
Has anyone read this book [link]
? One of the associates recced it to me yesterday, but I don't know if his book taste is my book taste/
(I still haven't read HP7, so I don't want to go ask in Literary)
eta: Yay for cool cab drivers, ita!
There's no HP7 in literary yet, Lee, FYI.
I've heard good things about it, Lee, though I haven't read it. Girl Wonder reviewed it and interviewed the author:

FYI, we're not discussing HP7 in Literary, but in Book Club. Your HP7 Virgin Eyes are safe!
I've had
Soon I Will Be Invincible
pimped to me as awesome, but I haven't read it yet.
May you continue pain free, ita. The next time I take a cab I'm going to give a bigger than usual tip to the driver.
