You're wrong about River. River's not on the ship. They didn't want her here, but she couldn't make herself leave. So she melted... Melted away. They didn't know she could do that, but she did.

I meant to tell Sophia that she also shares her birthday with:

And smonster! Happy Birthday both of ya!

Getting new pants for mac and ironing reinforcing patches on the new ones. Mom used to do it all the time to our pants. Got a little extra mileage out of them.

I want to know why my facial muscles are all knotted up. It's like everything from my collarbone up is jacked up. Uhg.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

What I am doing this weekend is NOT writing a book. I will be doing the endnotes however.

There is a chance that it might still come out before Christmas.

If it does, I can continue the tradition of giving my brother a David Smay music-themed book for Christmas. (The years you don't have a book published are really tough for gift ideas, I tell you what.)

Relatedly, Hec, do you still want whole-book feedback this weekend, or is it too late? (I just haven't had a chance all week.)

Bed and Bathwork's coconut lime verbena soap makes me want to eat my hands. I love the way this stuff smells. (It doesn't really make me hungry, just it smells REALLY GOOD.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Has the weekend started yet? Do tonight's plans count?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Yes. The weekend starts Friday afternoon the second you are beyond shouting distance of work.

Apart from sports, "my secret favorite thing on earth is ketchup. I will put ketchup on anything. But it has to be Heinz." - my husband, Michael Vartan

Tonight's plans count, ita.

I read all of the posts, and it made me forget absolutely all the things I meant to comment on. I'm just going to send out general well-wishes.

I did my kitty litter box tonight, and took out the garbage. I tried to recycle, but decided not to wait in line any longer, after 20 minutes of the SAME woman still not being done with her bottles, and five people between her and me, and the last guy, the guy I'd end up there all alone with, was the smelly homeless guy. I decided to just try again tomorrow morning. That meant I did not get "free" money to do the living it up thing at the grocery store, where I intended to buy chocolate milk, Excedrin, and paper towels. I have been meaning to buy paper towels for so long that the rolls and rolls at work are really beginning to look tempting. Sometimes my life is ridiculous. I also decided not to go to dance tonight, since I have no wish to drive in Friday traffic, and no wish whatsoever to drive in Friday rain traffic. And the upcoming rain has made me cancel the walk I wanted to take too. Sadly. I guess I'll do that tomorrow as well.

So my weekend plans for now are: exercise (probably by going for that walk), recycle, grocery store, do dishes, figure out how to afford TiVo, pay darned cable bill--possibly figure out if new building manager knows that we're not allowed to have a dish and maybe take advantage of possible ignorance, answer email in a witty fashion, return some phone calls, write, attend dance class on Sunday.

I am hungry right now and have no clean dishes and also no wish to cook and also no money. That kinda bites.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Well, don't kill yourself, but any feedback you could do this weekend would be very helpful.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I'm actually writing from my laptop. I managed to install a new hard drive AND vista all by myself.

Woohoo bon!

Now may your foot stop being stupid.
