Inara: So, explain to me again why Zoe wasn't in the dress? Mal: Tactics, woman. Needed her in the back. 'Sides, those soft cotton dresses feel kinda nice. It's the whole... air-flow.

Natter 54: Right here, dammit.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Oh, Theresa! She should totally stop by.

01 Basic Black Dress - yes
02 Trench Coat - ummm....why?
03 Classic Dress Pants - yes
04 Blazer - again, why?
05 Skirt - yes
06 Classic White Shirt - I assume that "classic" here means buttons, which means A World Of No for me and my boobs. Plus, white? Um...
07 Day Dress - yes, a few
08 Jeans - yes
09 Sweatsuit Alternative - yes (yoga pants)
10 Cashmere Sweater - dude, WHY?

The trench coat and cashmere sweater are the ones I find truly baffling. Do I have coat and sweater needs going unmet by the leather and wool currently in my closet? (Not that I don't love cashmere, but...essential? Seriously?)

And he's missing the most important essential item in the female wardrobe, which is Well-Fitting Bra. A properly fitted bra will instantly upgrade all the other tops in your closet.

So the freaking storm became a hurricane overnight. Luckily for me, Hurricane Humberto took a turn to the east. It's hardly even rained here.

I am so stressed at work right now, I can barely stand to stay here.

Here's hoping all of this year's hurricanes avoid our Gulf-istas.

Question for the hivemind -- do any of the major car rental chains offer one-way rentals? I'm thinking ahead to Thanksgiving & all the baby gear we'll need to lug with us and renting a car seems to be the most sensible way to go. OTOH, I don't want to pay for it to be sitting in my parents' driveway all week, so the best case scenario would be to rent it in NYC, return it in DC, and then do the same thing in reverse for the drive home.

Many of them do, although sometimes they charge you a (hefty) one-way fee.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Jesse, that just might be the studio where they filmed the commercial... I will check the DVDs for you.

Did I tell you they filmed an episode at the Grand Prospect Hall (said with Russian accent)?!

A weekly rental is almost always cheaper than two one-ways.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Hey, Emily! I was going to say that you were up early, then I realized that you're on Right Time now!

We may even have a regular East Coast AM crew again at this rate.

My mornings are going to be off for a while until I get a handle on this 'class at 8:30 AM' thing.

Still feels too early. Seriously, I'm getting more sleep now and feeling more tired.

Of course, last year I didn't have a first period class, so I could get a second cup of coffee and settle in before there were students. This year, I have a first period class and then there's study hall in my room, so I don't even feel comfortable making coffee.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Nah, it's definitely shot at Silvercup, per their website.

Did I tell you they filmed an episode at the Grand Prospect Hall (said with Russian accent)?!

Heh.
