Kat! A weight off, I'm sure. Good to hear it.
I ran away from work, but
finally
some people took my "no, but really, we have to have a cutoff" seriously and rang my Blackberry. It rings so rarely I didn't think twice about answering it. I'm not very good at this.
Alibelle, it's so nice to see you again here. Even though you are close and I could face space see you, I neer seem too.
This is the place and while it's not exactly what I had envisioned months ago when I thought about childcare, it's run by an incredibly warm and loving British woman.
My kids smell like stinky cheese and need a bath
K was just complaining about something smelling and I took Noah out of her arms and said, "it's our son." I thought he had spilled milk on himself, but no, he had just created the stinkiest diaper on the planet. Conveniently, I was on my way to bathing him. So he's bathed and ready to go overnight with Lori. Except I have to get his meds ready.
Sigh.
Nephew T had the most incredibly varied and stinky farts. Several times I was convinced he'd filled his diaper based on noise and stink, but no. Just farts. In addition to his charming habit of upchucking the cheesiest of cheese. Which his older brother did too. I blame my brother. For the farts, at least.
I miss them. I wish I were closer to Noah and Grace too.
eta: Kat, it may not be what you started out wanting, but that sounds like a good daycare option. May it prove to exceed your best hopes.
Thanks for all the birthday wishes. I had thai food with the Haligonistas tonight.
Kat, that's such wonderful news!!
Bedtime took less than a half an hour. That's a new record.
My choices now are:
A)Tidy the house by:
Loading dinner dishes into the dishwasher
Picking up toys, juiceboxes and tupperware lids
Mopping up sticky spots on the floor
B)Go to the gym
C)Watch 2 episodes of Eureka and Torchwood
Pick c!!
Kat -- that's wonderful news.
So, I guess I'm packed for tomorrow. I should just go to bed, but eh.
It really doesn't help that there's a breezy mention somewhere along the way of the fact that he hit her when they were married
Just saw this while catching up. It's actually shown on screen. At the very beginning, he hit/shoves her in response to her breaking his golf clubs.
Add me to the Gene Kelly bandwagon. Also Douglas Fairbanks, Jr., and John Garfield.
Hooray for daycare, Kat!
In other good news, I just talked to my mom. She had her post-chemo tests this week, and she's cancer-free!
