Reavers ain't men. Or they forgot how to be. Now they're just nothing. They got out to the edge of the galaxy, to that place of nothing, and that's what they became.

Has Hec been moonlighting as a Today Show producer?

Ahahahahaha!!!

hip deep in pie

I'm getting to the age where even normal drinking makes me depressed, exhausted and achy the next day. I had maybe three sakes last night and I can't stand the thought of living another day, let alone getting work done.

I'm there too. More than two drinks and I feel like crap the next day.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

The Canadian dollar is now at par with the US dollar. I feel like I should go on a crazy cross border shopping spree.

Huh. Go Canada, I guess. Although that makes me less inclined to go there now.

The Euro is at an all-time high against the dollar. I guess maybe massive budget and trade deficits might be having a wee bit of an effect.

Socks are a running theme throughout the series. They are used as symbols of freedom, redemption and love.

Ouise, I've managed to push supper back to 6, so you won't be horribly late. We'll order appetizers and hopefully you arrive well ahead of the other food.

Oh, thanks! That should work out well.

(ps happy birthday again)

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Me, too. And I REALLY like to have a glass of wine every night to relax me. I'm actually not drinking my nightly glass this week to see if I feel less like crap the next day.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I, on the other hand, can drink myself blind and get up chipper and perky at 7am the next morning.

In fact, I feel better after getting hammered than I do after going to sleep either completely sober or with much of my pain meds.

It's mornings like this one that have me wanting to throw myself at the feet of my specialist and beg him to admit me to hospital. Or mornings like yesterday. Or the day before that. Or, quite probably, tomorrow.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I had no drinks at all last night and I'm STILL all full of gronk! Unfair, I tell you!

Now I'm alone in my office. I'd tell you to fear me, but I'm actually looking at clip art for lack of anything better to do.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm totally full of gronk, because of the fact that I can't stay up till 11 anymore! That's even lamer than not being able to drink, I say.

Also, I don't want to work. Luckily, the main task I have is totally on hold because no one will get back to me. Meh.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I take one Exedrin PM and sometimes an Ambien every night. Benedryl can make me jittery, so the secret for me is to take the Exedrin PM about 90 minutes before I go to bed. I do sleep well, though.
