If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Not their best effort (and sadly that applies in particular to Ron Glass).

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Ok, thanks, I won't go to any trouble.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

it was entertaining, but I would have to agree with brenda.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I’ve never seen it. Does Ron Glass play a dapper, urbane police detective?

That's kind of what I was hoping for, for the Barney Miller flashbacks...

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Ron Glass will be in S.H.I.E.L.D., FWIW.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Perception:

If someone else pulls a gun on you, and in the struggle for it, it goes off and kills the person who drew the gun in the first place - shouldn't that be Self-Defense, not "10-20 for Manslaughter"?

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Presuming you didn't just break into the gun wielder's home, yes.

Okay, that's what I thought. I mean, plenty of other charges the guy would have been ripe for, but manslaughter didn't sound right to me.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Fanwank: his lawyer settled for manslaughter in the plea deal. I know of at least one RL case of a guy who pleaded manslaughter in a drug deal gone wrong. He could have gotten self-defense, but they had him dead right on the drug dealing part of the crime. That would have had a longer sentence than manslaughter. Not the same situation here, but they might have dropped some of medical specific charges in return for the manslaughter plea. That would have given him slightly more employment options when he finished his sentence. His doctors license is done, but if he is not convicted of malpractice or medical fraud, he might be able to work in some medical capacity in the future.
