Can't even shout, Can't even cry. The Gentlemen are coming by. Looking in windows, knocking on doors. They need to take seven, and they might take yours. Can't call to mom, can't say a word. You're gonna die screaming but you won't be heard.

I am not signing up for kidney, no matter how beautifully it's filmed.

Completely understandable. But I'm clapping with glee at the Infamous BlueJay's threat to make all the recipes off of the blog run by the show's food stylist.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I do like liver (calves fried with onions or chicken liver ground with eggs, onions, garlic and olive oil. Also chicken livers and gizzards deep fried and breaded Southern style.) For health reason have not eaten those things in a long time, but remember them fondly. On the other hand have never had kidneys be more than tolerable, but perhaps Steak & Kidney pie would change my mind.

BTW while I may yet try watching Hannibal, one thing I will never try is Bates motel. The promos bore me, and I presume they are as lively as the show gets. Since nobody else on the board has mentioned that show, I'm guessing I'm not flying solo with that reaction.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

If he spends four seasons out-thinking everyone else, I think I'll fall away from the show much before that. I don't like him, clearly, because he's both crazy and dangerous without being exciting or rewarding--I'm in it for Will and Jack and the Merry Gang Of Crime Scene Three (I am still getting a Kids In The Hall echo--I thought it would have worn off by now). There needs to be some status quo other than them being played for fools for four years. For me to be engaged, I mean. And all that time worrying about Will's wellness will be really exhausting.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I will never try is Bates motel.

I think it was Bryan Fuller that I saw saying good things about it. I don't seem to have access to that show.

And the visual design!

Right?! It's like the whole show is a Dutch oil painting.

I find the meals hilarious, but it may help that I don't eat red meat.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

“There were a few considerations because I was not really interested in doing network television for a while, but the idea playing Hannibal’s psychiatrist is really cool,” Anderson said

Why do I feel that's not exactly what she said?

Did I tell you I ran into the Stunt Husband yesterday at Central Market, where he was picking up things to make a Hannibal-themed meal?

Hee! He texted to say he'd seen you. Yeah, we're having a fancy cannibal viewing thing on Friday night. Binge-watching episodes with decadent food, drinks, and place settings.

That sounds wonderful. I'm glad you're enjoying the show. I'm hoping that it does better in the ratings next season. I want this show around for years.
