Frost that I would have liked better:
One luminary clock against the sky
Proclaimed the time was neither wrong nor right.
I have been one acquainted with the night.
O Star (the fairest one in sight)
We grant your loftiness the right
To some obscurity of cloud —
It will not do to say of night,
Since dark is what brings out your light.
Some mystery becomes the proud.
But to be wholly taciturn
In your reserve is not allowed.
Say something to us that we can learn
By heart and when alone repeat.
Say something! And it says "I burn."
The only way out is through.
Isn't that from two different poems? "Acqainted with the Night" talks about going to the edges of town.
I thought Holmes was holding back tears when he read the quote.
It felt like the most important bit was Joan acknowledging Holme's inability to accept that he has reached a goal...Many miles before I sleep.
Her deep knowing of his internal life is the greatest gift he could receive from anyone.
That wasn't the worst clip show I've ever seen. I am a little surprised that clip shows are still a thing.
clip shows are a sure fire way to get me into a rage.
I still maintain they can be done well--Andromeda pulled off a doozy. It's not the format, it's the choices.
in theory, in a world of possibilities, I suppose you are right. I did not watch Andromeda.
My previous statement stands. It is rage-making for me. Nothing worse than sitting down, looking forward to a new episode, and BAM.
This just happened to me 2 weeks ago when I had to catch up on "Once Upon A time" and I turn it on and they were doing a whole show about the making of the show with clips. This isn't "The Wire." Click.
All of the pieces don't(necessarily) matter.
Bones: I can't believe they are dragging the Pellant storyline on for another season.
