i'm guessing the lack of comments indicates that I'm not the only one who was underwhelmed by Castle.
Was that supposed to be a back door pilot or something?
All I really took away from the ep was Castle has a Spy Daddy!

I thought it was over the top, but not in a good way.
I'm not sure how far into I am. But I'm just ready for it to be resolved. Although I liked Beckett getting bad ass with the dead guy's girl friend.
Also I can't even remember why Castle doesn't know anything about his dad.
It was perfect casting, though.
But Castle works best when the ensemble is playing off each other, and this was Rick Solo.
As I recall, Martha isn't sure who Castle's dad is, there was more than one candidate at the time, and no one stepped up to say, "I think he's mine." And I think Martha was too independent to really care.

And PMM successfully explains just why I wasn't so impressed. I wasn't even sure myself, so thanks!!
Yeah and I feel like they put themsevles in a hole with the CIA episode so they had to do something with Castle's dad.
So big two parter! The first half was better than the second half.
