That's not what making out sounds like -- unless I'm doing it wrong?

when i die, please bake my ashes into a brick and use me to hit fascists.

Castle being a rerun (boo) reminds me: how in hell does *Alexis* not get into Stanford?!

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

The only reason I could think of is fewer early admission slots maybe?

They should have had her apply to UCLA, then it would be believable, since it's a bit easier to get into Stanford than UCLA. But if IIRC UCLA doesn't do early admin any more.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Huh? The acceptance rate at Stanford is 7%; at UCLA it is 23%.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

bon bon, but is it 23% for out of state?

No, it's 30%.

I mean, leaving aside special cases like Deep Springs, only Harvard is harder to get into. If you want a non canon reason why she would be rejected, schools sometimes have a cap on admits from certain private schools.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Thanks, bon, that threw me too.

But if you want an in show reason. Given why she picked Stanford, and how she was planning all classes based on her BF, that quite likely came across in the essay.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

If I can really pull the trigger and drop cable, I just figured out the silver lining - there is no way in hell I am paying money to watch NCIS. I would probably pay someone to come take it off of my dvr record list.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Cass, it's possible to lead a rich, full life without cable (as long as you have the internet). And, as far as I can tell, NCIS is on broadcast TV - I mean, I can watch it and I don't have cable.
