As much as I love goofy Castle eps, they can really do deep and serious, as well.
Procedurals 1: Anything You Say Can and Will Be Used Against You.
This thread is for procedural TV, shows where the primary idea is to figure out the case. [NAFDA]
I seem to be sharing a brain with Kathy on this. awwwww, BOYS! I lurve them.
I gotta say, the new captain is annoying the hell out of me. It feels like they're trying too hard to make her the anti-Montgomery.
...Although even if Montgomery had still been there, I would have been surprised that Ryan was allowed to stay on the case for so long, considering all the times Beckett got kicked to the curb for being too involved.
The fake-out with Ben totally got me. I was completely there in thinking he'd just committed suicide by cop. (on the other hand, the fake-out with Beckett not remembering her shooting? eye roll.)
I think that Castle picked up on that.
There were elements in the superhero episode that felt like old Castle, with the twists that show the ridiculousness that permeates life, but they're coming farther and farther apart.
Last night's CM was pretty good. I don't think they've done an unsub being triggered by a physical trauma/brian injury before, have they? And the actor was really good.
Max Martini is totally becoming the new Mark Sheppard - pops up in all your shows sooner or later, and always knocks it out. With added growly hotness, so I approve.

co-sign
And he's always kind of damaged, so that just adds to the hotness for me.
Random CM guest star sighting-- was watching Dirty Dancing the other day and it hit me that the actor playing Johnny's cousin, Billy, seemed really, REALLY familiar, so I looked him up on IMDB and I'll be damned. Put some weight on him and for his second appearance a really, really heavy beard and voila! You have Karl Arnold, AKA the Fox.
Weirdness.

Oh yes.
Now that Ion is showing Psych, which I've never seen, I'm watching the show's ads during the CM reruns. Is the guy who plays the cop on the show the same actor who played the unsub on CM's ep "LDSK"?
Yup.
