Todd, my husband did that so we had inappropriate laughter. I liked CM last night much more than the ep last week. It was so sad though. How did I not retain the info that Rossi was in the Marines? loved Reid geeking out over DW.
I am also pleased to be liking CSI much more this season. I had doubts about Ted Danson but he's really good in this role. I hope they can keep the momentum going.
Although, when he was holding a gun to his father's head, I had a "Luke, I am your father" moment.
Yeah, they kept almost getting there, but breaking it up. Good call, writers!
Man, that was sad.
There'd been a L&O - SVU, I think - where someone had that ... syndrome? ... so I figured out what was happening fairly early on. But, yes, sad.
I watched for the first time - there's just so much to catch up on, I jumped in. I figured out what his problem was because of a podcast I listened to about the syndrome. So unsettling.
Poor guy, poor family, poor co-workers.
This was your first CM? Not a bad one to start with, since most of the overt lingering issues were dealt with in the first two eps.
Getting viewers to really feel for the blank-of-the-week people is one of the things CM does really well. Often it's the victim's families, sometimes it's the survivors, and occasionally it's the unsubs.
What'd you think of the BAU members?
It was funny watching, because I've read people talking about the characters and their trials and tribulations, but I don't know any of it. From that one ep, I liked everyone, but I didn't form an specific opinions. Of course, now I'm going to have to start to watch from the beginning.
Toddson - there was a L&U SVU episode like that. I can't remember the entire story, but a Mom had some kind of head injury and didn't recognize her daughter and locked her in a closet. The girl escaped and then was raped and I can't remember how it ended.
But the daughter did something that the CM girl did. Benson and Stabler had the daughter in another room talking on the intercom. The Mom heard and was so happy to see her, and then the girl ran in the room and ran to hug her mother and her mother slapped her across the face and started yelling that she was an impostor.
Loved last night's Castle!! Some of my favorite eps are when they give one of the boys a chance to shine, and Seamus Deaver really went for it this week. Just so good, and they even gave Castle a nice beat when he realized that, no matter how much he hangs out with them, he'll never be a cop in actuality.
Yes, that was good - despite the new and serious tone.
