I found all the characters annoying and unsympathetic.
Yeah, the lead didn't appeal to me at all from the promos, even. Couldn't imagine a whole show, and I'm not that hard to hook into at least watching.
The lead had some good moments but was mostly annoying. And the supporting cast could give the characters on Mad Men a serious run for their money in the sexism department.
I didn't hate it. It may be a little heavy on the gender battle for me to want to stick with it though.
so I liked Prime Suspect, but I think the show could improve with time. The real problem is that NBC's programming is tanking. Really badly. I think PS has a likelihood of being canceled.
Hmmm.
Yeah, I thought that the pilot was clunky but I could imagine it getting better as the actors grow into their roles and the writers learn to write for those actors. But it seems it may not get that chance.
I'd give it one more episode to see if the writing could be less clunky, but I don't hold out a lot of hope.
I found everyone pretty unlikable too, and no one in a magnetic way. The segue from the sexist drinking to the guy dying to her asking for his job was just...ugh, people.
