Well, look who just popped open a fresh can of venom.

Yes, he'd originally told her that he didn't drink because he was allergic to alcohol. When she found out about the alcoholism, she offered to stop (and did for while, as I recall), but he told her that the not drinking made him feel more awkward.

That's how I remember it. Mind, she's been terribly insensitive around the issue on other occasions, but that one I think is not on her.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Incidentally I think his putting up with tons of shit from her, and then finally calling her on it is true to a certain type of non-drinking alcoholic who really has their own shit together. Some, not all, develop this tremendous tolerance and patience where their line is ten times further away then anyone else's. They still have a line and will let you know if you cross it, but until you do they will put up with a lot more than your average bear. Fritz totally fits that.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Well that is an interesting analysis.

He loved her for awhile and seems to have been pining for her (if my reading of the pilot episode was accurate). So that may also be a factor in his tolerance of her behavior. I do think he knew what he was getting into. What he loves about her is also her weakness.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

When's Castle back?

Sept 19, I think.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I just got caught up on the new-to-the-USA L&O:UK eps I had on my dvr last night. New "Order" cast members are fun, although I will miss Ben Cross (loved his James Steel). I had no idea that Peter Davison would be the new head lawyer; now they have two Doctor Who alums on that side!

As soon as I saw the mum screaming for her missing kid in this week's ep, I was wondering, "Is this the kid-in-the-incinerator ep?" Sure enough, it was. The original L&O version was fantastic (Curtis's walk with the mother which ended with her opening the incinerator is still fixed in my mind), and this version was equally good.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I find that Dominic Rowan (new attorney guy working with Freema) easy on the eyes, I tell you what. Love me some big soulful, brown eyes.

A&E has a Criminal Minds marathon tomorrow featuring famous guest stars. Unlike many other shows, that captures some really stellar episodes.
