Even Lanie gets character development.
I love those occasional appearances by Ayre Gross, because while he isn't as developed, he adds another been-there-seen-that dimension I love from a forensics guy, with the occasional huh-haven't-seen-that-before/in-a-while.
Castle is doing right by it's cast, no question.
NCIS - I hope that Tony's role is a way to give that character back some of the integrity he had before they decided that all he was is an overgrown Frat boy.
That would be nice. Although, all I could think was, "Didn't you already learn your lesson about doing things behind Gibb's back before?"
The NCIS finale felt mostly anti-climactic. I was worried about Jimmy there for a minute, but that was about it.
Wait, so Suspect Behaviour has been cancelled? For some reason, my brain was completely failing to process it as the right show, thinking it was L&O or CSI related. Shows how invested I got.
Well, that was a fairly terrible CM episode-- worse still that it was the finale. This whole season had some massive bad juju around it-- hopefully, everything gets back in gear for next season.
wasn't that bad? I thought it was just me, being in a bad mood.
No, it was bad and not much with the sense-making. I was rewriting the sucker from the first scene.
Hopefully, next season they will get off of the "show the unsub" schtick. We don't like that. I think that may be why Suspect Behavior didn't do well, the shows were too similar.
They were too similar and on top of that, SB really struggled to find its identity. It improved once they had Cooper quit mumbling to himself and they quit insisting on putting the team in bombed-out crackhouse dives because they're So Rebellious and Not Like the Others, but it still never really gelled.
It's a shame because Rawson actually kind of grew on me and I liked what little of his backstory we got. Prophet could've been a fascinating character as well, but they handled him with a two-by-four too early and then left it in the dust. Kind of like what they did with a lot of the storylines on Original Recipe as well-- the much vaunted season of secrets and the only one that truly played out was Emily's and that was only by necessity.

It fits in with CM's having not-so-good season finales. Fisher King Pt. 1 was really overshadowed by Pt. 2, I hated No Way Out Pt. 2 (the Evilution of Frank--really, writers??), Lo-Fi was meh at best, To Hell...And Back wasn't bad as a 2-parter, but overall not one of my favorites, and I really did not like the S5 finale with Tim Curry at all. This one went on my "meh" pile, along with most of the season. Looking back, my only keeper was Corazon, although Coda was a decent ep.

This. So much this.
ETA: I did like seeing the reappearance of Kevin Lynch. Nice to see NB out of rehab (again).
