I just read a big rave on this new season of L&O classic which will be getting me to watch a new episode of this series for the first time since Jerry Orbach left.
Procedurals 1: Anything You Say Can and Will Be Used Against You.
This thread is for procedural TV, shows where the primary idea is to figure out the case. [NAFDA]
I've been excited about it since they cast Sisto and Roche. And the promos have just egged me on.
Isn't part of tonight's the one with Patrick Stump from Fall Out Boy as well?
I watch all the L&Os faithfully. One reason: They are the shows least likely to have a montage with music.
Oh Ginger, that's fucking funny. You are so right. L&O:CI started doing that montage shit and I nearly lost it.
I never realized that, probably subliminal.
I'm missing Sam Waterston in his old role. There is not enough of him as the lead DA.
The L&O: CI montages didn't quite go over my montage squick meter, since they were more "time is passing" than "OMG, it's a sappy song," but they really need to lay off the angst and go back to having the criminals be the crazy people.
I read an article that said that they were going to beef up the DA's role, but it's really not the same. They took McCoy out of the power walk. Sob.

no, and the new lead ADA is annoying. I would have liked them to take the opportunity to make a woman the lead ADA. The male focus has always been a criticism of the show. It would have been awesome if they could have brought back one of Jack's old second chairs to take the role.
new lead ADA is annoying.
Yes, he is. He has no style.
