The L&O: CI montages didn't quite go over my montage squick meter, since they were more "time is passing" than "OMG, it's a sappy song," but they really need to lay off the angst and go back to having the criminals be the crazy people.
I read an article that said that they were going to beef up the DA's role, but it's really not the same. They took McCoy out of the power walk. Sob.
I'm missing Sam Waterston in his old role. There is not enough of him as the lead DA.
no, and the new lead ADA is annoying. I would have liked them to take the opportunity to make a woman the lead ADA. The male focus has always been a criticism of the show. It would have been awesome if they could have brought back one of Jack's old second chairs to take the role.
new lead ADA is annoying.
Yes, he is. He has no style.

Only if it was Carey Lowell's character. Or if they resurrected Claire Kinkaid, but that would require moving this discussion over to Boxed Set.

He is. A female lead ADA would have been great. I miss the female cop too.
Isn't part of tonight's the one with Patrick Stump from Fall Out Boy as well?
Yes.

He was adorable. I wanted to smish him. With the grease streaks on his face! And he was mouthing off!
Which one was he? Was he in the Black Out one or the one with Wormtongue?
Which one was he? Was he in the Black Out one or the one with Wormtongue?
The one with the black out. He was the tiny frumpy fish-obsessed IT nerd. He was on for, like, two minutes. He did all right. I mean, at least he's a better actor than Pete Wentz. (I love Pete, but he's just
so bad
at acting, oh my god.)
And, anyway, yes, even when Patrick's a greasy, skeevy murderer, I still want to hug him and squish him. I am okay with that.

I liked the little looks he kept shooting up from behind his big ol' glasses. Very shifty-looking, and kind of subtle.
