Procedurals 1: Anything You Say Can and Will Be Used Against You.

This thread is for procedural TV, shows where the primary idea is to figure out the case. [NAFDA]

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Rigsby and Van Pelt have awesome chemistry. I want to seem them back together and working on the same team, but perhaps not as partners.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I liked the end of this week's Mentalist. I wish the show was always kind of weird and strange, rather than a straightforward procedural.

I seem to spend a lot of time wishing my procedurals weren't procedurals.

“Not dead yet!”

I think they're going to get close, but I somehow suspect that O'Laughlin is going to get cold feet.

As usual, I loved the exchange between Cho and Rigsby-- Wayne asking for Kimball's advice on whether or not he should tell Grace.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Can they be on the same team and in a relationship?

I really liked the end of The Mentalist. In fact, Jane was more human this week than recently. Using his perception not to wind people up, but to distract the dying guy from his pain. And as scared as he is of guns and death, he did him a solid there.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

if they let crazyass Jayne work with them day in and day out, I think they can let the relationship fly.

I thought they were told explicitly to stop, though.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Yeah. Wasn't Lisbon pretending to have no knowledge of it, then Hightower laid down the law?

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I like The Mentalist, without Jane.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

So here's my point globally: it is against department policy for two members of the same division to have a romantic relationship. Fine. It is true Hightower laid down the boogie, and Lisbon didn't want to know about it before Hightower.

But there are so many other ways in which the division/department violates policy. I am not sure that the romantic relationship even approaches the chaos of Jane (I keep misspelling). Truth be told, they would have turned the whole place inside out after Red John killed half the division. The mere fact Jane works with them causes the division unnecessary risk - they are only on RJ's radar because of Jane.

They seem to think Jane is the quirk needed to set 'em apart from all the other procedurals. But they may be failing to recognize the awesomeness that is Cho. But if they did take Jane away, I'd miss the pretty.

This does burn up a lot of handwavium.

(I keep misspelling).

For a Firefly fan, it's a tough mistake to avoid. I've backspaced over the extraneous 'y' more than once myself. After Mr. Cobb, it's kind of hard not to expect all men named Jane to be Jayne. Aaaaaaaaaand now the elevator in my head is now stuck between floors with Patrick Jane and Jayne Cobb. And River, just to throw in more chaos.

What do I need tv for, I can keep myself entertained forever.
