Occasionally I’m callous and strange

sounds the same. i still can't figure that out. the added verses are nice, tho...hearing churchbells ringing in the middle of a gunfight...not necessarily appro for the show, but then neither is a javelin man!

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

oh, and i just downloaded the extended version on itune. how the hell did it not win an award for best original theme song? shouldn't that have been golden globes? And because i'm clearly not letting go, spent a considerable amount of time today at work trying to find a story (none found yet) lyrics

In all my love, i share with you.

eta, ok, emmys i guess. not even nominated. harumph. sure, the composer won for Castle, which is great and all, but....harumph.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Castle re-run. Hrmph.

It is one with some excellent quotes though.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

This [link] is awesome. Criminal Minds meta, brilliantly laid out.

Found it through Elizabeth Bear's LJ.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Fantastic, Maria.

Not javachik

Just skipped about 600 posts to say that public tv is running a series on classic tv, and the episode on the police drama is pretty good. Some of the shows were before my time, and it was nice to get more info about them, and some were old favorites of mine like Mannix and Mission Impossible. Fun stuff. I'm sure it'll repeat. FYI.

brillig

Mannix rocked. Wasn't his secretary one of the first major parts for a black woman?

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Okay, I didn't get to watch NCIS until after class last night and was very, very tired (like, had to restart it half a dozen times because I kept falling asleep before the end of the episode), but was everybody else annoyed by the episode? The main storyline didn't engage me somehow - which disappointed me because I usually love GuestActress (whose name I'm blanking on, you know, Vicki from Blood Ties), and the subplot about McGee's stolen identity was so badly done - Tony was being waaay more sophomoric than usual, and then the wrap-up was both anti-climactic and stupid...neighbor kid thinks I'm a stick in the mud, so destroys my credit rating (oh yeah, and commits a felony to the tune of $10,000) to make me lighten up? WTH? And they go with it? No seriously, WTH?

Just me? Was I just tired and cranky?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Epic, not just you. I felt it was definitely the worst episode of the season. I also don't like how much they seem to be focusing more on Abby's quirkiness rather than her kick ass science skills lately.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Nah, it was a dull and eh NCIS.
