Art Crawl!!!

Oh, this episode is the Castle with Victor Webster. . . well, the first episode with Victor Webster.

And he's in black leather.

umm, although only at the very end and poor Esposito.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Cutter is my cutie patootie psychopath. Love him.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Yum, Victor Webster.

And did you see the tribute to Stephen J. Cannell at the end? Brought back memories.

So, watching Hawaii 5-0 and seeing Taryn manning guest starring. But, did she get the lip plumper or is it just me?

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

and poor Esposito

I was thinking that all episode once I realized it was going to be a running gag. I was glad he got his little joke in at the end, even if he's not 100% yet.

poor Esposito

Did you notice that Ryan called him "Javi"? I think that was the first time that we've heard anyone at the station call him by his first name.

Loved the steampunk stuff, especially the fact that Castle (of course!) knew the answers to the Verne/Wells-themed password queries at the door.

Watched lots of cop shows last night.

Finally got around to seeing last Friday's L&O:UK ep. I don't remember the original version of this from the NY series, but I really loved this ep. The kid was incredible (really good actor), and the fact that his lawyer was just heartbroken over the fact that he believed the "bad genes" thing she was using for his defence was really well played. I'm also really liking all of the cast, especially the senior cop.

Watched the Ion reruns from the end of CM's season 5. "A Thousand Words" is better than I remembered--an excellent all-team episode, complete with a fun minor character in the tattoo artist who was angling for a look at the killer's body, and a great cop-of-the-week, one of the better ones from a show that specializes in well-written local cops. The way the actor played the emotional investment in rescuing the kidnapped girl, then comforting her after he finds her, and then having Hotch praise his detective skills--just so excellent! Reid and Prentiss's poker game at the end was fun, but I also loved how Reid made Morgan and Prentiss ask him to take over the journal reading, and also told them that they owed him (even though you know darn well that he loves that part of the job).

"Exit Wounds" is also better than I remembered. I loved all the Garcia/Morgan stuff the first time around, but Hotch's verbal smackdown of the unsub's abusive father really stood out on this viewing. (And in a shallow note, I loooved Reid's deep purple shirt/golden brown sweater vest combo. That vest is the same one that first showed up in the beginning of "Uncanny Valley" and is in the new opening credits, and it's probably my favorite of his many sweatervests.)

I like that senior cop too. I'm sure I've seen him in something before. . . but what?

Was the sister on Castle Bianca from AMC?
