I always thought she was cardboard one of the guys (as opposed to Emily badassed chick with a gun, or JJ's "You thought what? I shoot you through the window, fucker") self. She was mostly just sassy and snappy, and managed to evaporate the sympathy she'd gained from that horrible attack.
Procedurals 1: Anything You Say Can and Will Be Used Against You.
This thread is for procedural TV, shows where the primary idea is to figure out the case. [NAFDA]
Yeah, what should have been a showcase for her acting chops instead revealed her weaknesses.
And the sass and the snap weren't all that to begin with. It felt like a two year old throwing a temper tantrum.
Hotch's hypervigilance comment to her at the beginning of "The Boogeyman" just makes me hurt for him. Oh honey, you have NO idea, do you?
edit: Her comment about being all alone when she needed the team is bullshit. She's a fucking FBI agent who theoretically knows how to handle herself. Yeah, she got jumped in her own house, and yes, Hotch should have made it explicitly clear to Andersen to stay with her, but c'mon. Honestly, if she should have been pissed at anyone it should be Gideon. He's the one that called the press conference and broke the rules.
The team was there for her when it mattered--surgery, the rest of her hospitalization (presumably), and recuperation. Even if no one else checked up on her, I know damned well Reid and Hotch did. Reid, because that's who he is, and Hotch, because no matter what, he's still the one that makes sure everyone's OK. Who the hell made sure the "RULES" written in her own blood was washed off her walls? She can't blame anyone else for her going off the rails.
The Boogeyman has that great sequence with Reid being in the house alone in the dark on the phone with Garcia and he turns around and Morgan surprises him, then we get JJ telling the story of the camp counselor segwaying into another Morgan & Garcia conversation.
I love how JJ can pull the wool over the eyes of not one, but two profilers.
Unrelatedly, I wish I had access to Garcia's jewelry box.
edit: Good christ, can Morgan tackle a suspect. I felt that one myself. Almost snapped him in two....
My recording device failed on collecting Fisher King and P911 for me. I have them on my way in DVD form (will probably get here in a couple of days), should I wait and continue to watch in chronological order or forge ahead with tonights ION episodes?
I love her earrings.
-t, it depends. Normally, I'd say forge ahead, but "The Fisher King" 1 and 2 are integral to the first part of season 2.
Yeah, they are pretty important. Plus, excellent team interraction.
Thanks, I will wait, then. I knew I could count on y'all to advise me.
