Well, then, this is a day I'll feel good to be me.

Art Crawl!!!

Bones: Isn't it odd that they showed it this week? Or is that due to Sweeps. (This was the first Christmas episode I've seen.)

I was wondering if they might have swapped episodes on this one - hope they didn't frell any continuity. I know REAPER was a rerun last week when it wasn't supposed to be.

HOUSE however was a perfect episode to leave off on until the new year (apart from there being no new HOUSE until the new year).

IOW, I just think Fox is going into conservation mode with new episodes.

My two Life promos so far:

oOOOooo, Juliebird, these are wonderful! Thank you! The first is a great juxtaposition of text and action and is perfect as an intro to the show. The second cracked me up, perfect timing text/action, esp. last shot. Heh.

Sorry, I have to post when I can.

Last night's Journeyman: It coalesced last night for me. I really like Katie now. The look she gave the guy down and kind of over her shoulder as he was making her open the refrigerator? I could imagine her thinking "If I knew krav maga [or other martial art], I would so kick your ass, buster." The knife thing didn't do anything for me though, but she's stronger and more resilient than I had been giving her credit for.

I loved the news editor. "Weirdest family ever." and that he had his own sources check out what he was being told by the Gman. (Made Jack look not so with-it, though.) Dan can't possibly be doing enough work to continue being employed but I'm glad they are being handwavey about it because it's a good cover for the scenario and editor is so fine.

Jack bugs. He held it together admirably talking to the Gman and when he saw Livia, but then he was a flake at the end with Dan and Katie. The guy is coming off like a loose cannon who can only pull it together under stress. Maybe that's the point but I'd have him make up his mind already and be one of the Scoobies.

Hmm, they call it struggling when it's drawing almost the same numbers as Bones? [link] I know, it's relative to the show airing before, but still. Apparently 3 more shows were ordered [link]

Kevin McKidd doesn't have the American accent as down as either Hugh Laurie or Damian Lewis; there's something too round about some of his words, like his mouth is having a hard time with them. Laurie and Lewis have a kind of stillness to them that he doesn't quite have either. But I'm liking the show a lot, it's a great companion to Bones IMO.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Thanks Java cat!

I really like Katie now. The look she gave...

Oh man, the look she gave when told to leave the house after Dan arrived... wow. Stubborn, angry, defiant, hateful. I loved her for not wanting to leave.

She irritated me in a low-level way until last night. I'm a huge fan of the character now and now, in retrospect, I think ... er, whoever the actress is... I just closed those links... has played it really well with good development over the arc and nothing overplayed at all. I'm not a fan of the oost relationship [feh on Moonlighting]; this looks like it could be one of the really good relationship shows on TV, with Dan and Katie being solid enough that Dan and Livia can continue having their past and present relationship play out. I never watched Quantum Leap so I don't know what this is being compared to, but they've got such a rich source of material for stories with the 4 adults and all their relationships and the time leaping. Except for the time travel itself, nothing has been that asspully, has it? Okay, last night's was pretty psych 101, I saw that coming right away and the creep was awfully broad and why did he strip to a wifebeater, come on, but that's the only one, I think?

sn't Idol starting up soon?

t ptui "Filthy people, we will speak no more of them.

Bones: I wasn't upset by the kiss. And I got teary too, with Christmas as the prison. And no tree because of shiv materials. "Don't commit murder, don't go to prison, you can have a Christmas pageant of your own at home!"

House: No Conniving Bitch! Yay!!! And Wilson's getting sued! Agh!! But more Wilson angst he can mope with House over. I quite like the Cuddy bit at the end. "Wait! This was your game all along! Well, at least the game is over." "How long have you known me?"

I don't watch Idol, but I'm still going to have to suffer through the commercials for the damned thing. I could deal with it, if they didn't insist on doing the Gong Show bits with the poor folk who blow their auditions. I despair of my species, that there are those who revel in people with dreams but no talent.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Fox has decided to space their remaining episodes out is my guess.

Sweeps ends this week, so we probably wouldn't have seen another new episode until the new year anyway, strike or no strike.

The patient on House was Angel's old buddy, Penn.

That's why he looked familiar, but not overly so! Thanks for that heads up.
