I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Rewatching Castle, and what I love most about Beckett handing Castle her purse is he doesn't comment on it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The way they cut the trailer, it made it seem like he said the "abuse of power" line after she handed it to him. It's much nicer this way round.

To show how time flies: Alan Sepinwall commemorates 17 years since H:LOTS started.

Now I need to take the time to watch those clips.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm going to have re-watch that show.

Always Anti-fascist!

ML is gonna be on Treme?! Like it wasn't already on track to be my most anticipated show, ever. I hate "Subway" though, and I don't care who knows it. It's lame, it's a big ol' gimmick and I can't be the only one who can't watch till the end without wishing something would crush D'Onofrio's Emoting larynx.I don't know...by the last few seasons "Frank Pembleton has a Crisis of Faith," was more of a TV Guide summary than something we actually feel(Or at least for me, it was...maybe it would be different if I was in a faith that inspired some kind of passionate devotion...John List aside, nobody ever lost their shit about being Lutheran.) And I never really came to feel anything forD'Onofrio's vic, either. I'd absolutely rate "Kaddish" over Subway any day of the week.In some circles, that is like saying you didn't cry at Titanic, but... Really, unless you're really into Bayliss though, it's not really true that it's all equally good.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Looks like Castle's repeats are getting similar ratings to what the new eps were getting at the beginning of the season:

A repeat of Castle, which is a shoo-in for renewal for 2010-11, capped off the evening for ABC with a second-place finish in both total viewers (7.96 million) and adults 18-49 (2.3/ 6) at 10 p.m.

brillig

I wonder why they air Castle so late? It's seems a perfect fluffy entry for earlier in the evening. It doesn't even have the Bones "can we make our audience barf this time?" gross body of the week that airs right after dinner.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Castle has some grim storylines and "adult themes". I can see why it is at 10.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

What do you mean by "adult themes"? Unjudged bisexuality?

They make very light of the murders. Something like SVU or Criminal Minds or Fringe or even Supernatural airing at 9 seems dissonant.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

We've only had two new episodes since what, November? Why the repeat already?
