Buffy. When I saw you stop the world from, you know, ending, I just assumed that was a big week for you. Turns out I suddenly find myself needing to know the plural of 'apocalypse.'

Bones boggled Booth with logic! "It's a logic question, so I'll be quiet now so you can work it out."

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I loved David B. for the absolute contempt he showed the perp when he said the line "...and you called him a fag." Also the show for framing the episode that way.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

They showed a Psych promo with Sarah Shahi! Rock. You know it's damned hard to find pictures of her for my site that aren't her taking her panties off. She was a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Cover Girl. And...Dani Reese. And now Gus's girlfriend. How far she's come.

Though she'll always be Dani to me.

Rewatched this week's Castle. Seamus Dever is mighty hot in that turtlneck at the start of the episode. Ryan and Esposito are cuteness incarnate anyway, but Seamus is a hottie in casual wear.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

I'm so glad my friend made me catch up with the whole of Castle in about two weeks. It's fast become the most fun show I watch.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

TV worlds are colliding. Numb3rs has a serial killer. They are definitely a poor man's BAU.

Oh, look Clea Duvall!

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Dad came up for the afternoon, and I decided to see if I could hook him on NCIS. It's definitely his type of story (he's a big Clancy fan, so the military aspect is right up his alley), but he doesn't watch network scripted tv hardly at all, just Discovery, History, and PBS.

Luckily, earlier this week I had dvr'd "Call to Silence," the S2 ep with Charles Durning as the Medal of Honor winner who was convinced he had murdered his best buddy during the battle of Iwo Jima. I first saw the ep around Christmas and was so moved by it, and thought it would be the perfect hook for Dad. Sure enough, by the end of the hour when Durning is reliving the battle, Dad was taking off his glasses to wipe his eyes.

I then showed him the S2 opener with Brian Keith as the Navy captain whose wife and blind daughter were kidnapped for $2 million in Navy funds. It's a more typical NCIS ep, so I thought I'd show it to Dad to see if he liked it.

He's going to start dvr'ing the show now.

"Call to Silence" is probably the best NCIS ep.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Rewatching Castle, and what I love most about Beckett handing Castle her purse is he doesn't comment on it.
