Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Stabbing==rape is sort of what they're working from on the profile, with knife==phallus. So they have anywhere along that continuum to place the violation.

Apparently L&O isn't a certain go for #21. From the TCA Winter Press Tour:

"Law & Order" has been picked up for at least four additional episodes, bringing its season total to 20. Despite the extension, Bromstad confirms the show isn't yet a go for season 21.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

NBC doesn't have anything else and needs hours and hours of programming next year.

I think L&O is a go.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

NBC ordered a record number of pilots for next season. 18 I think.

As far as I can remember of the numbers, L&O has been a reliable performer, and I haven't heard about money problems with it like SVU and CI. I'd like to think that weighs in their favour--a week full of new drama at 10 is a bit of an intimidating risk.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

One of the pilots NBC ordered is a L&O show set in LA.

I cannot believe they want to do yet another L&O. They are copying plots across the programs as it is.

Why not L&O historical at this point? Let's pull plots from gritty cases people have forgotten about (or maybe they already do) - cast a bunch of younger mostly unknown actors for cheap, film in sepia tones, start a whole vintage dress revival a la Mad Men. good times.

New from NBC this Fall: Pilot!

And what can L&O:LA really offer that they can't do with L&O and an established cast of characters? NBC had LA as a potential character in Life and in Southland and tossed both those.

Still so bitter about Life.

I still have the TiVo season pass for it.
