Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

As far as I can remember of the numbers, L&O has been a reliable performer, and I haven't heard about money problems with it like SVU and CI. I'd like to think that weighs in their favour--a week full of new drama at 10 is a bit of an intimidating risk.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

One of the pilots NBC ordered is a L&O show set in LA.

I cannot believe they want to do yet another L&O. They are copying plots across the programs as it is.

Why not L&O historical at this point? Let's pull plots from gritty cases people have forgotten about (or maybe they already do) - cast a bunch of younger mostly unknown actors for cheap, film in sepia tones, start a whole vintage dress revival a la Mad Men. good times.

New from NBC this Fall: Pilot!

And what can L&O:LA really offer that they can't do with L&O and an established cast of characters? NBC had LA as a potential character in Life and in Southland and tossed both those.

Still so bitter about Life.

I still have the TiVo season pass for it.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I still have Life on my DVR queue. I'm not as bitter as I would have been if the last season hadn't wrapped up the story so well.

It was a brilliant season/series finale. But Damian Lewis has said he's not doing any more TV, and I will miss him. Plus Charlie Crews was such a marvellous character. And Dani Reese was no chopped liver herself.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Not bitter, but I do miss it quite a lot. Every now and then we'll be watching something else and DH will say "I miss Life" and I will get sad.
