Yes, that is annoying. Even though I bet it's because limping so intently made HL hurt. Anyone else read about that and think "I'll wear my nurse outfit!" or was that just me being hard-up? Could House do the ketamine thing again? Or did his being shot create some kind of special opportunity?

Did I read here or elsewhere that HL was doing harm to himself walking on the cane so much?

of course crosspost

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

House: it is still really bugging me that House seems to be in less pain and leaning less on his cane now than in previous seasons, since he's supposedly now treating his pain with Advil. Pain that was severe enough to need Vicodin cannot be successfully treated with Advil.

Agree that that's generally true, and really not well thought out or examined by the show. But when I was having chronic back pain taking percoset and other big hitters did jack, and I literally broke down in tears when I discovered by chance that dollar store aspirin wiped it out reliably. Probably ripped my stomach all to hell in the quantities and frequency I was taking, but still.

re: House--I'm surprised no one said this

DING DONG, THE WITCH IS GONE! WHICH OL' WITCH? THE CAMERON WITCH!

Oh, thank God. No more sanctimoniousness, no more pontificating, no more "Oh, you are wounded, I must love you!"

House likes people who are as or more fucked up than he is. It makes him feel normal, I think.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Pain that was severe enough to need Vicodin cannot be successfully treated with Advil

Doesn't it depend on the exact mechanism of the pain? It would be surprising to suddenly discover that Advil can address pain *now*, but it doesn't do the same stuff as Vicodin does, and is successful at relieving a different sort of discomfort.

Thirteen makes Cameron look like Sarah Bernhardt. (Although I liked Cameron more than I didn't, although she sometimes reminds me of me in ways I don't like. Not the one where she took up her profession to distract from her beauty, though. Sex appeal like mine cannot be distracted from...y'all just have to suck it up and deal.)

I caught a couple of old CMs on ion last night. One was "lo-fi" the 2 part terrorist cell one. Wow was Morgan all loud and bossy, not wrong mind you, but out of line. ANd JJ pregnant, which I had completely forgotten about.

The other was the MP-era one with a female dominate in a kidnap/torture/rape/kill team. Interesting so close on the back of the female vampire killer one from this season. Bonus Reid with the crazy geeky glasses.

msbelle, have you seen Mayhem, the one after Lo-Fi, where you get to see whose jeep blows up? More Morgan on a tear there. And great Garcia/Morgan moments.

I'm back and forth on whether or not Morgan was out of line--I tend to think that Hotch should have been mediating better and might have been swayed because of his history with the Haley-lookalike and his knowledge that she was sensitive about Morgan. Because Morgan's points were good, but Hotch didn't stand up for them at all, which is why I think Morgan went OTT.

I have seen Mayhem. I am large with the Morgan love, seriously. I get why he went where he did with the Dawson Creek looking chic, just didn't like seeing it.

I'm still holding my breath about how his tenure as Unit Chief is going to turn out. They've been fairly careful to show him kept in his place by his own constraints and I worry they're going to take him down a peg or two to get him back into the body of the team.

Or maybe Hotch will never go back to Chief and Haley will reunite with him, or Haley will die and Hotch and Prentiss will consummate their love.

Which is just me trying to distract from being nervous about what I see as an inevitable fall for Derek.

I went slowly through the trailer for this week's Mentalist--it makes big noise about three agents dying, and they don't show Rigsby or Van Pelt, but they can't kill either of them, right? They must be killing Bosco and two of his men, maybe the one that was calling our guys Ernie and Bert last week.
