Morgan needs to make Hotch do all of the paperwork. Just delegate that shit right now.
Procedurals 1: Anything You Say Can and Will Be Used Against You.
This thread is for procedural TV, shows where the primary idea is to figure out the case. [NAFDA]
SO Morgan can focus on leading the charge, tackling buildings, winning over young children and black people.
Ooh...big man carryin widdle baby alert! That's what big hands were made for--wee bairns.
I wonder how the rest of the team would take it. I don't anyone other than Rossi could have done it, and he made it clear he didn't come to run it. But it would be weird shakeup. Redouble the search for Foyet, people.
I'm going to take advantage of my recently delurked status and ask/comment about Bones. It's not "must see" for me, but I do watch fairly regularly, if not first-run, then in repeats. Brennan's lack of social awareness is starting to wear very thin on me.
As far as I can follow, she has no clue as to basic human interaction because of the trama of her parents' disappearance when she was 15. This is what bothers me. It's my understanding that our basic personalities are set by about age 5. Temperence would have had 15 years to figure out social situations in school, family, etc. prior to the trama. She also finished high school and attended university through the doctoral level. Did she have no social skills before the loss of her parents? If she did function in the world, I think the damage from the trama of her parents' disappearance would have manifested itself differently, more in a general distrust of people, rather than not having a clue as to human emotions, behavior, etc. But maybe I'm wrong, or I missed something in my viewing of the show.
I've never really thought it was because of trauma, just because the effect of losing her parents combined with going through the foster system contributed to her overly-analytical personality.
It doesn't help that the character has been written inconsistently.

I thought that she was younger than that. but also what alieann said.
Fern, what wears on me is she is a fucking anthropologist who has lived in other cultures and societies for months.
I don't get why she is so awkward still after all these years of training and successfully living elsewhere.

I think that she's supposed to be the observer, but doesn't know how to interact with people.

And then left again by her big brother who couldn't handle the responsibility of taking care of her.
it is just so ridic inconsistent. She'll make some observation "in XX society it would be taken as a threat to do ZZZ" then next scene when asked about something or seeing a colleague do something common to US culture or law enforcement culture she'll be all "why would I do that?" or "why are you doing that?" bumble bumble bumble.
Like to still be unaware when someone is lying for effect or to fool a witness/suspect?!!? how many times have we seen her stumble on this and almost give away things. it's old - it's not the way she is with anything else - it is lazy.
And I still don't get how she writes bestsellers when she not only doesn't seem to get people, but she doesn't seem to want to, like her way is clearly superior. What are her characters like, if she can't grok anything about the motivation or expressions of the people around her?
