Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

I didn't even notice it tonight. I've got to stop doing dishes during the show. But you're right -- I usually see the actors and start watching, only they're not the characters, they're themselves. But in costume on set. Which is jarring and just isn't right.

I hope the mid-show recap for Bones is a short-lived experiment.

Ditto. What do they think people might be switching over from? Something on NBC, I guess - they're the only ones with Thursday sitcoms, right?

“Not dead yet!”

Who else loved Sweets at the end of the episode? He killed me!

eh, it was a little too petulant child for me. He could have played it cool and it would have been funny.

Eh, it worked for me. He's had two years of Brennan basically saying he's an idiot for wasting his intellect-- plus, he's still only in his early/mid-twenties. I can't say I blame him, plus he got her right where he knew it would drive her nuts.

Anybody else think that whole turn of the episode was a big plug (i.e. product placement) for Lie To Me? At first I thought it was a diss, but the turnaround at the end made me rethink. Certainly a shoutout, at least.

Not really. If you didn't know about Lie to Me, I don't think you would have picked up on it. Now, if they do a crossover . . .

I never watch Lie To Me, so it never occurred to me. And I don't blame Sweets for being peeved. It wasn't long ago that he had his childhood history being dragged out, and now his professional competence is being questioned.

For a change, this wasn't an actual murder, more manslaughter, and if Beaver hand't pulled out the nail he might have survived. I like the fact that the perpertrator doesn't always turn out to be that bad. Heck, this could be called self-defense, since Beaver was in the middle of assaulting her.

Yes, she might even have gotten probation, but the whole "hiding the body and lying about it" thing might be a problem.
