Damnit, I took a nap and woke up at midnight, only to find out I had missed the second episode of life. Frantically hitting refresh on serftehchanel because I don't want to wait 2 or 3 days for it to show up on hulu.
If they'd turn the heat on in my apartment I wouldn't feel the need to crawl under the blankets in a fetal position and sleep away how hellishly cold it is in here, and therefore make me miss my show!
Man, Cold Case makes me cry every time!
I can catch only the last 10 minutes of Cold Case and end up bawling. I hate them.
What happened? I have it set to DVR, but the football game on CBS went late which pushed everything back about forty minutes and this DVR (stoopit comcast) doesn't account for that or make it easy to add time to a recording. So I saw about the first twenty minutes (up until the male teacher came in to talk to the crew) and that was it.
Yeah, I try to set the Sunday night CBS shows during football season to run over a good bit. Like, program TAR to run 3 hours over and just grab everything as one recording. (Try as in, fully intend to but have not actually done so.) Fortunately I got home just in time to do it manually last night.
Well, after suspecting the other teacher (her mentor), the security guard, the Latino bad boy, the Good Boy who brought the case to the attention of the Cold Case crew.
1. Latino boy was caught with drugs in his back pack - this was observed by Darnell who was staying after to help the teacher.
2. He insisted that they weren't his and further suggested that Darnell's sick crush on the teacher led to her murder.
3. The questioned Darnell.
4. They discovered (after whathisname - the big guy bribed the clerk with dinner and a show - that the gun was one that had belonged to the father of a student and had been confiscated by the security guard.
5. The security guard admitted that he had leant the gun to the mentor teacher.
6. Mentor teacher confessed that she requested the gun because she'd been beaten up by some former students and no longer felt safe. And that her purse had been stolen from the teacher's lounge.
7. Raymondo was accused of stealing the purse. But he didn't.
8. Because guess who had a cocaine habit and left the school rather than being fired?
9. That's right. Teacher 3. Laura confronted him and gave him an ultimatum. He pulled the gun on her and she ran away. Then he shot her right where Raymondo could see him.
10. Ends up with Darnell doing the newspaper project with his class, Security Guard still drinking in his car, and Raymondo studying for his GED.
Man, Life is really sharp tonight.
I loved his hallucination!
Life has one more episode before I stop overlooking this apparently network-influenced horrible writing.
I've always handwaved the plots because of the more important relationships and how the cases are used to examine Charlie's internal life in a (sometimes) subtle fashion, but this is getting ridiculous. I don't think I've rolled my eyes or groaned so much over one episode. Or even the whole first season.
Painful.
