OK, have watched the first 3 Stumptowns. I like it. I love the tape that just plays whatever it wants at opportune moments. Very Good Omens.

Yeah, I think Stumptown is getting better as it goes -- I figured it had to, with that cast! (I thought the pilot was fine.)
It's kinda hard to think Jake Johnson is an ex-con who might reasonably be suspected of murder. Although I don't really think we the audience are really supposed to suspect him...or maybe that's just me
I was enjoying Stumptown, but I thought the most recent episode was really boring. Although, I could have just been in a bad mood.
I'm enjoying Stumptown and all the nods toward 70's detective shows.
Really liking it too. In spirit reminds me of Rockford files. Same laidback toughness. Same deployment of breezy charm as weapon. Same kind of low key smartass.
That is a good comparison
But does it have the best intro theme song ever?

Or Thomas Magnum. They all have very personal relationships with their cars, too.

Peter Gunn?
