Willow: Something evil-crashed to earth in this. Then it broke out and slithered away to do badness. Giles: Well, in all fairness, we don't really know about the "slithered" part. Anya: No, no, I'm sure it frisked about like a fluffy lamb.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Maybe it's a speakeasy?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I just watched the two episodes who have aired so far. I thought it was okay but not great. It may fill hole left by Whiskey Cavalier if it doesn't fall into inspiration porn territory with the brother.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I don't know how things work in Oregon, but in NY, there's no way a felon who is paying for everything with cash would be able to get a liquor license.

I thought the same thing -- how the heck did he get a liquor license?

With regard to NY, I continue to be gratified that Donnie Wahlburg's restaurant cannot get a liquor license with him as a partner because of this "youthful" felony hate crime conviction (he and a friend assaulted an Asian store owner and used racial slurs)

I thought that it was the actor, who is Donnie, right?

eta: Nope, I was wrong, it was Marky Mark.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

They're both actors.

OK, have watched the first 3 Stumptowns. I like it. I love the tape that just plays whatever it wants at opportune moments. Very Good Omens.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, I think Stumptown is getting better as it goes -- I figured it had to, with that cast! (I thought the pilot was fine.)

It's kinda hard to think Jake Johnson is an ex-con who might reasonably be suspected of murder. Although I don't really think we the audience are really supposed to suspect him...or maybe that's just me
