Kareem Abdul-Jabbar wrote a book about Mycroft Holmes. Got it for Christmas but haven't read it yet.
I never watched Veronica Mars. I suppose I need to add it to the To Binge list.

Oh! I'll have to check it out.
I enjoyed Veronica Mars for a bit, in particular the delightful dialog, but soured on it in the concluding episodes. I don't know whether I'll be there for a reboot. Probably read a bunch on it first.
Watched the new version of Magnum, P.I., which was fine. Jay Hernandez sounds very much like Tom Selleck, which is sort of unsettling. He's also 8+" shorter, so more like mini-Magnum.
Rick is played by Zachary Knighton from Happy Endings, which is fun. The best part of the show is Perdita Weeks as a kickass version of Higgins.
Glad you liked it, DX. It's on my DVR but I haven't watched yet. I wasn't sure whether to prioritize it. Pleased to hear it doesn't suck.
There's just something about the new Magnum that I don't like. He just seems really smarmy from the commercials. I need to watch a few of the old eps to see if the "lovable rogue" that I remember from my childhood is really just a cocky asshole. Which I fear.
Selleck (and Magnum) had charisma by the bucket. You could even see it when he was playing Lance White on Rochford. Mini-Magnum doesn't charis at all. The supporting cast is good, though, especially Weeks.
Ugh. I am so tired of watching (or not watching) shows where the lead is trash, but the supporting case is good.
Ok, I'm only a quarter into season 6 of Elementary, but I am really enjoying Joan's suits.
The Lance White eps are amomg my faves.
Did anyone watch The Rookie?
