You can tell from the finale how they were going to play it if it was coming back. I'm glad they didn't go that route.

This thread is for procedural TV, shows where the primary idea is to figure out the case. [NAFDA]
I fear he is actually not nice. Sad face.
I think when you're an actor and have what you think is a good thing going, you don't want to let that go even when it's the right thing to do.
They filmed two endings for Castle.
I didn't watch, I'll watch the last 4 or so I have on the TiVo this weekend. Nathan was doing a watch and post on Twitter last night.
I'm guessing Stana and the supporting actors weren't invited to participate in that, either. t /evil
I don't follow Stana on Twitter so I don't know if she was live tweeting or not. Seamus and Jon did not.

I found the finale far more satisfying than I expected to.
Worked for me.
Also a number of episodes prior to the finale managed to satisfyingly get their froth on.
And talking of froth - Catch remains fun, though the latest (2nd to last) episode was not one of the best. Not anything like as clever as Castle at its bests - but fast paced and fun. AS much a caper series as procedural - a battle between two bad planners. Insanely stupid (but entertainingly devious) plans thwarted by insanely stupid (but entertainingly devious) counter plans. Remember Mad Magazine's Spy Vs. Spy? This is PI vs. Con Man. Except they are in luurve. Both intentionally and unintentionally entertaining.
