Procedurals 1: Anything You Say Can and Will Be Used Against You.

This thread is for procedural TV, shows where the primary idea is to figure out the case. [NAFDA]

A rec - Limitless is much much better than I expected from the premise. The procedural and sci-fi elements strike me as closely enough balanced that I have posted in bureaucracy to ask a stompy to decide where discussion goes. Intended to post the rec in Boxed Set and Procedurals and the question in Bureaucracy. But I appear to have accdidentally x-posted a 4th thread when I intended to post here. I'll delete the stray x-post to a 4th thread when I find it.

I just watched the second ep of Castle last night. Agree with all the meh. Becket being drawn to this mystery at the intensity she was seemed forced and stupid. BUT she was in the clips for next week seeming like normal Becket, so maybe it gets done?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Caught up on the first two episodes of The Player. That show is fun.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I totally missed the existence of that!

I barely heard about it before it started and I have no idea why - poor promotion or me living under a rock seem equally plausible. But it's good!

It's a John Rogers show which is why I wanted to watch it.

That's pretty much why I started watching it. And why I am confused about not hearing about it. I must be subscribed to the wrong blog. Anyway, it's definitely got that pulp thing going on. And Wesley Snipes appears to be having a good time.

Because "Limitless" proved so much better than its ads suggested, I took a chance on"Blindspot" My warning: "Blindspot" is at least as bad as the publicity suggest, maybe worse. The "clue" containing tattoos on amnesiac Taylor Shaw are an excuse to squeeze in as many nude shots of Jaimie Alexander as possible. Fir variety the nude scenes are punctuated by poorly staged gun battles, explosions, and hand t0 hand combat. There is also intermittent manpain on the part of a department store mannequin er I mean Sullivan Stapleton.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Goodness, Stapelton's line readings are some of the most stilted, wooden mumblings I've ever heard. I want to like the show for Alexander's sake, 'cause I love her as Sif. But Blindspot is making that difficult.

Oh god, glad I read that, I was about to give Blindspot a chance.
