Spike: I'm not a monster. Xander: Yes! You are a monster. Vampires are monsters! They make monster movies about them! Spike: Well, yeah. Got me there.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Goodness, Stapelton's line readings are some of the most stilted, wooden mumblings I've ever heard. I want to like the show for Alexander's sake, 'cause I love her as Sif. But Blindspot is making that difficult.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Oh god, glad I read that, I was about to give Blindspot a chance.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I find Blindspot to be a good background noise procedural, which pretty much fits my needs for TV at the moment. Anything that requires too much attention is hard to follow while taking care of ltc. I didn't recognize the lead as the same actress that plays Sif!

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Jaimie Alexander is pretty good in it, as is Ashley Johnson, but Sullivan Stapleton is just terrible, and he brings the whole show down with him. It's also a really stupid premise.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

He was quite good in the 300 sequel, and people used to rave about him on Strikeback (where he apparently had far less trouble maintaining an American accent). I'm inclined to blame Martin Gero for everything wrong with this trainwreck.

I do mourn the fact that Jaime Alexander isn't the lead on a Lady Sif series instead of this dreck, though.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Blindspot and Quantico are the two new shows I was trying but I'm feeling pretty done with both of them.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Just to prove how shallow I am sometimes, I like Aisha'Tyler's character on Criminal Minds, but what is up with the hair style?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Haven't watched CM in a while, but now I am tempted to tune in to see what you are talking about.

Last week's Castle made more sense than I expected it to (well, the relationshippy bits, the mystery was kind of nonsensical, but I don't particularly mind that). I would like them to just wind this conspiracy stuff up already, though.

The Player continues to be fun. Somebody compared it to Drive elsewhere, and now I keep thinking how right that is (and how much I would like to have more Drive to watch)

It's a night of difficult decisions.
