Now I did a job. I got nothing but trouble since I did it, not to mention more than a few unkind words as regard to my character so let me make this abundantly clear. I do the job. And then I get paid.

Always Anti-fascist!

Well, I guess Dennis Becker is on there, so. Then Hill Street, which I still love in an unwholesome way. Magnum(kinda dumb compared to the others but I liked him and Higgins)

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

You know, if I'm going to trace my first procedural, I'd have to go with Hardy Boys, Matlock, Quincy, and Murder She Wrote. I also loved the Mystery Movie of the Week (McMillan & Wife, etc.)

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

And the one with William Conrad, Cannon? My folks liked that one a lot.

I loved the Perry Mason movies! My dad and I used to watch them together.

Conrad was also in the first Nero Wolfe series, with Lee Horsley as Archie. And Horsley had his own series later. Tim Hutton played Archie in the second Wolfe series, and Jim Hutton played Ellery Queen.

Well, for heaven's sake! How could we forget the original PM???? Yeah, it was reruns when I was watching, but it's like the grandaddy of them all, that every courtroom drama, inlcuding all the L&O's are based on.
