For anyone who watched The Colbert Report last night, I'd like to say that Schmidt's Sausage Haus is DELICIOUS, and they have cream puffs as big as your head. I think the footage of McCain is in front of the fudge place next door, and also, om nom nom.

My favorite take that came from the Women for John McCain website: [link]
After wrapping his hungry lips around mouthful after tempting mouthful of old world sausage from a menu of enticing beef and pork sausage stuffed in an extra large natural casing and made moist with sauce, served with a side of wurst balls coated with batter and an inviting split top bun, our next president stepped next door to Schmidt’s Fudge Haus, where he was presented with a tasty box of freshly packed fudge, before talking Schmidt with the press as he delivered some trademark Straight Talk under a sign reading “Fudge Haus” as an enthusiastic audience of wind chimes nearly drowned out his dynamic and soaring campaign rhetoric, deservedly snubbing a female reporter from the unabashedly liberal Wall Street Journal.
Oh my God, now I can never eat there again! MY EYES.
(The sausage is soooo good.)
(So is the fudge.)
Also, it's in the middle of German Village, which is right in the heart of the city, and borders right on the Short North (aka the arguably gayest part of town). My guess is all of that is Obama-land. Don't know what the heck they were thinking.
HEY, where did half my post go? Grr. Edit to fix.
Wow, I haven't read anything here since late April. Think I'll bury my lead.
OMG, I just watched Dana Carvey's standup special on HBO, and I think I laughed more than I have in a while ...I guess he basically took his career off to raise his kids
Dana Carvey lives in my home county. He's rumored to be the money behind this: [link] which is a nice little venue. (Emails circulate around the county for tickets to see local comic R Williams working on his new material. He charges $40 a head and donates it all to charity, Katrina-related as I recall. I suppose all the blank spots on the theater schedule could also be people using it to work out material.)
Dana C. had to have heart surgery some time ago, after his SNL/movie stuff, and his surgeon operated on the wrong thing, so he had to have surgery again to fix the thing that wasn't broken, that now was, as well as fix the thing that was broken to start with that wasn't fixed. If you follow. Life-threatening. It was at "my" hospital so my ears perked up. Malpractice lawsuits, lala, he doesn't name names as per the settlement agreement, but obviously I heard it somewhere. NPR/Fresh Air? Interview show? Not sure. I think it's a major reason he dropped out of sight for awhile.
So! My lead: Season 4 Promos are up at You Tube for HIMYM.

[link] New material: Barney and Robin (who is that singing "Girl"? NPH?)
And the best for last: Barney [link] AHAHAHAHA!!! Love it.
Java, it sounds like this guy from the movie Across The Universe.
Yeah, it does. Good ear! (I half-expected to see Robin Sparkles prance across the background of that clip!)
Sandcastles in the Sand!!
yeah, that's Jim Sturgess from Across the Universe.
From Fresh Air with Terry Gross yesterday. He was a very engaging, interesting interviewee.
Movies Rainn Wilson, From 'Office' Drone To 'Rocker' Star
Twitchy undertaker, cubicle fiend, sassy convenience-store clerk — Rainn Wilson has long gravitated toward eccentric characters. But is The Office actor attempting the leap to sex symbol through his titular role in The Rocker? Given the hair-metal coif and the still-goofy humor, probably not.

Reenacting Hank and Dean doing MechaShiva
Though my favorite is the 21 and 24 cosplay duo.
