Some people need to read my GF/Wedding FAQ again [link] I can say from personal experience that saying you're going to propose only makes things worse.
Ack! My keyboard is being hijacked.....

Hi everybody! FAQwife here (Christina, actually, but anyway).
I'd like to confirm that Jon B. had only to ask: he is cute and funny and nice, and watching him wait for the perfect moment was agonizing. It was perfect because he's perfect, for me I mean. Well, maybe for you, too -- sorry.
Bye everybody!
Your friend,
Mrs. Dr. FAQwife
lots of girls want that fairytale ceremonial thing.
I don't get the sense that that's what Pam wants, though. I think she'd be happy about it no matter how it happened (okay, except not during one of Michael's meetings). I agree that she's waiting for him because he's made a game out of it now, so she probably feels like it's going to happen sometime soon.
I think I may have just given up Jim/Pam shipping for Jon B./FAQwife.

I was just going to say something very similar...
Aww, FAQwife! Jon B./FAQwife are made of win.
Hey, much better chances of Happily Ever After shipping you two.
Hee!! I just watched the episode (finally!) last night, and coming in to read this all was so damn made of CUTE!
I too finally got to see The Office last night. I suspect Jim is more invested in the fairy tale proposal than Pam is. Though I think Pam would be more invested in the fairy tale wedding than Jim would be. But what happens to Pam at the Pratt Institute? Does she start growing away from Scranton and Jim?
But you know, the job as Michael's supervisor is now vacant. And I think Jim is at or near that point where his job becomes a career whether he thinks in those terms or not.
I did like that Michael's meltdown seems to have halted. It was getting to a breaking point. Now, why he's willing to be Jan's Lamaze partner.... And how that affects things with Holly....
