I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm pretty nervous about how all that will play out. I like Simone a lot, but I'm super invested in Eleanor/Chidi now.

Kinda not feeling the Janet/Jason right now, though. They're gonna have to sell me on that next season.

Thrive to spite them

So if Sean picked 4 people who had connection to the group was Simone for Chidi or Eleanor? Is someone else going to show up that knows Eleanor?

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

Man, I am STILL not over that finale.

But it was so lovely from a character standpoint: indecisive Chidi made a decision really calmly and decisively and selfish Eleanor was totally selfless. That was really excellent.

But my heart is still just destroyed.

Hey. New board.

Eleanor's mom is maybe coming next? That was my guess.

Hey. New board.

Ooh, and evil bitch Tahani sister. Maybe last season's cycle of kind of boring make it rights was actually just a preview.

No one who knows Eleanor could show up while she's pretending to be the Architect, though. They'd have to switch back to Michael, or Janet (or Derek!), except Simone and the other guy, the blog guy, already think Eleanor is the Architect. They would have to be mind-wiped, and so would Chidi.

Or I guess someone who knows Eleanor could be mind-wiped to not know her, but that wouldn't have a lot of narrative impact after rebooting Chidi.

Hey. New board.

Dang, good point. My idea is lazier than the show is anyway.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Plus they've already brought on someone (blog guy) that knows Tahani, and he doesn't really map to anyone else, because he actually seems to think he belongs in the good place. (That said, I think Tahani's mom or dad would've been more up Shawn's alley when it came to picking people who could torture one of the original four and still think they belong.)

Eleanor is going to be tricky because of the memories aspect. They still need two people who know for sure they don't belong in the good place.

Do they have to bring in someone who knew Eleanor? Isn't rebooting Chidi and living with that every day enough torture for her? Maybe not every member of Team Dirtbag will get someone who knew them when they were alive.

The new people aren't there to torture our crew, necessarily, they are there to make the experiment more difficult - probably by torturing Team Cockroach, yes, because demons, but maybe in some other way. Blog Guy is a goood foil for Tehani because he brings out her worst traits. In a way, a good foil for Eleanor or Jason might be someone who just encourages them to be their old selves in an otherwise benign fashion.

It would be kind of interesting, for example, to see what a diehard Objectivist would make of the faux Good Place
