Mal: How come you didn't turn on me, Jayne? Jayne: Money wasn't good enough. Mal: What happens when it is? Jayne: Well... that'll be an interesting day.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Wait, that lady is on The Wire ? Oh, good, I liked her!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I knew she was familiar, but couldn't place her! Huh.

I am mad a Jim for wussing out, but I shouldn't be surprised.

Ann, that's a ferret.

And last night's Office is on our TiVo, waiting for Hubs to return from a business trip later today....

Though the comments here are only whetting my appetite....

I don't think he wussed out. The moment wasn't right anymore. He was totally ready until Andy fucked it up. You think Pam wanted to be sloppy seconds on engagement day?

I have a fair amount of real life experience being mad at guys who have this "perfect moment" hangup, when they should just do it already.

Fair enough.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Yeah, I can totally see both sides of the issue: I understand why he didn't do it, especially not right at that moment, because the moment would be forever tainted by association with Andy's ridiculousness. On the other hand, later that night? On the way home? At breakfast the next morning? Come on, Jim, just man up and do it! Nobody else needs to know that it happened on the same day as Andy's proposal.

Yeah, exactly this.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Now, what, she's going to find thirteen bales of paper that Creed forgot to do QA on and make them Michael's problem?

HA! I like that they are making her dynamic with Michael entirely different from Toby's. Though Michael just giving Holly directions to the diner was SO SAD!

Yeah, wouldn't it be nice if we come back in the Fall and Jim and Pam are just engaged with no reference to a big "popping the question" moment?

Yeah, that would be fine. For christ's sake, just don't wait until the next "perfect moment."

Also, the whole thing where she thought Kevin was retarded was hilarious. "You drive your own car? That's SO cool!"

"This party? Going to the supermarket? It's a big day for him."

That whole thing was so funny because it's not like they had to change anything about Kevin to do it. Viewed through a certain lens, he can easily come off like that!
