I know I'm a bad poet, but I'm a good man. All I ask is that... is that you try to see me—

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Manny Jacinto looks really, really good in a suit.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

So M and I have been watching The Good Place and we're finally all caught up and *wavy hands* THIS SHOW! I love it so much. We saw the last two tonight and I think my favorite bit was Michael being super grossed out by kissing "with your food holes! That's not what they're for!"

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Ted Danson is a GOLDEN GIFT.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Michael's solution to the Trolley Problem at the end made me verklempt.

Matilda straight up burst into tears.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

The TV here (I'm waiting for my car inspection) has football on, which normally I would just tune out, but I keep hearing the name Blake Bortles and getting distracted!

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Bortles!!1!

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

I don't give jacksquat about football but I had a moment where I wanted Jacksonville Jaguars to win so that it would have to be written into the show somehow.

I think that happened before with the Boston Red Sox and that Jimmy Fallon/Drew Barrymore romcom? In the original screenplay, they were supposed to lose but the upset happened and everyone was like, "what the hell, let's go with it."

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Yup, Fever Pitch. They actually filmed at the game where the Red Sox won and ran onto the field.

That happened with Lost, too. Ben Linus showed whatshisname, the Party of Five guy, footage of the Red Sox winning, and Party of Five Guy said "Now I know you're lying to me."

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I didn't want to say to anyone local, but I would have been equally happy either way.
